You will be working outside with your hands in a wide variety of climates. On one project you may be working on a slope installing a retaining wall and the next project you could be stabilizing a bridge. This is the perfect career for someone that does not want to work in a traditional setting like a warehouse or office. This is hard work. This is gritty work. It will be some of the best and most rewarding work you will ever do because you will have a hand in saving people’s lives. You will not be working from behind a desk. You will be in the field getting hands on experience building GSI’s world class geohazard designs! This is hard work. This is gritty work. The Field/Project Engineer is a member of the Canadian Team assisting with the priorities lined out by the Region Engineer. The Field/Project Engineer will work with engineering staff (Field Engineers, Project Engineers, Regional Engineers), Project Managers, Project Development Engineers, and regional leadership (Operations Manager, Regional Director) to support development, design, planning, and execution of geotechnical and geohazard mitigation construction projects. On one project you may be working on a slope installing soil nails and the next project you could be repelling down a cliff side with a drilling rig to install rock anchors. This is the perfect career for someone that does not want to work in a traditional setting like a warehouse or office. This is hard work. This is gritty work. But this is some of the best and most rewarding work you will ever do because you will have a hand in saving people’s lives.
